Senior Scientist, RSRCT Kathy Mah

Kathy is a Medical Physicist with over 35 years experience working in cancer centres including the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Princess Margaret Hospital, both in Toronto, Canada. Kathy has taught and mentored science and medical learners in Canadian Universities and Hospitals. Her enthusiasm for teaching radiation science has extended to helping those in developing nations establish their cancer treatment practices. Kathy has trained both Radiation Safety Officers and X-ray Safety Officers. She is so excited to package her knowledge and leadership in radiation safety into this on-line course.

President, RSRCT Curtis Caldwell

Dr. Caldwell received his Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto. He is a member of the Health Physics Society, the Canadian College of Physicists in Medicine, the Canadian Radiation Protection Association and the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists. He is currently an active member of the NORM Committee for the Canadian Radiation Protection Association. Dr. Caldwell is currently the President/Chief Scientist for Radiation Science Research Consulting and Training Inc (RSRCT). Before founding this company, he was Chief Scientist for the Radiation Safety Institute of Canada and previously worked as, Research Director, Radiation Oncology Physics; Nuclear Medicine/PET physicist and Corporate Radiation Safety Officer for more than 25 years at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario. He has been consulted on radiation shielding design, as well as general nuclear medicine and health physics issues for more than 30 years and has been involved in major projects across Canada and other countries.
